We’re pleased to announce that Mindy Taylor and JuliAnn Barrus will be part of our conference!
Singer/Songwriter Mindy Taylor studied vocal performance in Texas and graduated from the Moore’s School of Music, where she performed leading roles in many operas and Broadway musicals. Mindy continues performing, and recently played the leading role of “Maria” in Herriman, Utah’s The Sound of Music. She met her husband Scott at an LDS single’s dance in Texas and they are the parents of three daughters and one son. Mindy and her family currently reside in Riverton, Utah.
Mindy was thrilled to start collaborating with JulieAnn Barrus almost ten years ago when they met in New York. JulieAnn started her musical training with piano beginning at age 7 and more extensively on the violin at age 9. Composition became more a part of JulieAnn’s life during her studies at Brigham Young University. JulieAnn met her husband Seth after performing a fireside with Mindy for his single’s ward. JulieAnn currently resides in Pleasant Grove, Utah with Seth and their four sons.
Mindy and JulieAnn bring together a varied collection of musical styles, including lyrical ballads, classical and sacred art songs, and Broadway-like humorous tunes. Together, they have composed/performed music for multiple firesides to audiences of Ward and Stake Relief Societies, youth conferences, girls’ camps, ward parties, and singles groups throughout the country. A recent performance at the LDS Conference Center Theater was recorded and broadcast nationwide. Mindy and JulieAnn have just completed their second CD entitled “Remember”. They are both grateful to have the chance to share their testimony of the Savior through their music, and hope listeners will feel uplifted, encouraged, and inspired to grow closer to Christ.
