Special Guest – DeAnne Flynn

Who She Is

DeAnne Flynn graduated with high honors in broadcast journalism from Brigham Young University.  She was the grateful recipient of the Arch L. Madson Journalism Scholarship, as well as a university Talent Award. While at BYU she enjoyed traveling the world as a BYU Young Ambassador, in addition to reporting/anchoring for KBYU-TV news, Classical 89 FM radio, and for the school’s Public Affairs Department.

She worked as a news anchor/reporter in both radio and television before hosting a national real estate talk show for a private satellite television network headquartered in Salt Lake City.  For years she enjoyed being a freelance scriptwriter with repeat clients from New York to Los Angeles.

She’s written both lyrics and melody lines for several national jingles, as well as many press releases and commercial print ads working as the public relations director for an international real estate firm before becoming a mother.

Today, as chief executive schedule-keeper and carpooler, DeAnne feels she’s earned an advanced degree in managing busy lives. She is the author of The Time-Starved Family: Helping Overloaded Families Focus on What Matters Most and The Mother’s Mite: Why Even Our Smallest Efforts Matter, and Salt Lake City: A Photographic Portrait.

DeAnne toured nationally with Deseret Book’s “Time Out for Women” as a presenter , travels frequently as a inspirational speaker, and is currently an instructor for “Especially for Youth” at Brigham Young University.

She and her family reside near Salt Lake City in a shady neighborhood called Holladay
